UV400C-PT Ceiling-Mounted Germicidal UV Module
Add high-intensity UV disinfection to your ceiling-mounted HEPA system.
The UV400C-PT from Abatement Technologies is a drop-ceiling-mounted germicidal UV module designed to work in conjunction with the HC800CD Air Purification System. Together, these two components form a complete airborne infectious isolation solution by combining HEPA filtration and ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI).
Ideal for hospitals and healthcare facilities, this system enhances the containment and destruction of harmful airborne pathogens in patient isolation rooms, emergency triage spaces, and other high-risk areas.
Why Use UVGI with HEPA Filtration?
While HEPA filters physically capture airborne contaminants, UVGI technology adds a second layer of protection by destroying bacteria, viruses, and mold spores trapped or suspended in the air stream. The UV400C-PT leverages this synergy — slowing air as it passes through a UV "kill zone" to maximize microbial exposure and irradiation.
Key Features
-
High-Output UV-C Lamps
Four T6-type UVGI lamps (39 watts each, 156 watts total) deliver over 17,000 µw/cm² of UV energy at just 3 inches from the source — powerful enough to disrupt DNA in airborne microbes. -
Optimized Airflow & Exposure
Internal air baffles slow down the airflow and funnel it close to the lamps, increasing dwell time and maximizing UV exposure. -
Long Lamp Life
UV lamps are rated for up to 9,000 hours of continuous operation, minimizing maintenance interruptions. -
Ceiling-Mounted for Zero Footprint
Mounts neatly in a 2 ft. x 2 ft. drop ceiling grid, just like a light fixture. Fully out of the way in patient care areas. -
Easy Maintenance
Room-side access makes lamp replacement quick and hassle-free.
Safety Features
-
Complete Lamp Shielding
Prevents direct UV-C exposure to staff and patients during operation. -
Automatic Safety Interlock
Lamps shut off immediately if airflow is disrupted or the access panel is opened. -
Certified for Healthcare Use
NRTL-certified to meet UL and CSA safety standards for UV systems in clinical environments.
Ideal For
-
Patient Isolation Rooms (AII)
-
ER Triage & Intake Areas
-
Treatment Rooms & Clinics
-
Surge Capacity & Biocontainment Zones
-
Facilities needing added infection control without structural changes
The UV400C-PT delivers proven UV-C disinfection power in a compact, ceiling-mounted design — making it easy to enhance infection control in high-risk environments.
