The PRED1200 Portable Air Scrubber from Abatement Technologies® sets the standard for powerful air filtration in a compact, mobile package. Weighing just 70 pounds with filters installed, this unit is easy to maneuver through tight corridors and stairwells thanks to its built-in dolly, durable handle, and non-marking 8" rear wheels. Despite its light footprint, the PRED1200 delivers serious performance, with variable airflow up to 900 CFM—enough to provide 6+ air changes per hour (ACH) in spaces up to 9,000 cubic feet.
Multi-Stage Filtration for Safer Indoor Air
The PRED1200 utilizes a layered filtration system designed to capture a wide range of airborne contaminants:

Stage 1: 1" coarse particulate pre-filter traps larger debris and extends the life of subsequent filters.

Stage 2: 2" pleated particulate filter captures medium-sized particles such as drywall dust and dander.

Stage 3 (optional): Add a VAPOR-LOCK activated carbon filter to reduce odors and gas-phase pollutants—or stack a second pleated filter for enhanced particulate control.

Stage 4: A 99.97% true HEPA filter, individually tested and certified, captures fine particulates as small as 0.3 microns, including mold spores, allergens, and bacteria.
The HEPA filter retains its full efficiency over long operating periods, significantly reducing the frequency and cost of filter replacement compared to electrostatically charged alternatives.

Constructed from high-density TEFGARD polyethylene, the PRED1200's cabinet is engineered for impact resistance and long-term performance. The cabinet is infused with microbial growth inhibitors and UV protectants, helping it withstand rigorous daily use and harsh cleaning chemicals common in healthcare and restoration settings.
The unit can operate in both upright and horizontal orientations, allowing it to adapt to space constraints on the job site. A hinged rear door offers quick, tool-free access to pre-filters, speeding up routine maintenance.
